3. PRESENT PERFECT

Past Action with Present Effect

Kapan dipakai: aksi past dengan dampak now, pengalaman hidup, just/already/yet/ever/never

4. PRESENT PERFECT CONTINUOUS

Berjalan dari Past sampai Sekarang

Kapan dipakai: aksi yang dimulai di past dan masih lanjut, dengan duration emphasis

I have been studying English for 2 hours. (sejak 2 jam lalu, masih belajar)

Kapan dipakai: aksi spesifik yang sudah selesai, fokus waktu past tertentu (yesterday, last week, ago)

6. PAST CONTINUOUS

Berlangsung di Masa Lalu

Kapan dipakai: aksi sedang berlangsung di waktu past, interrupted action, simultaneous action

I was eating when the phone rang. (interrupted)

At 8 PM yesterday, she was studying. (specific past time)

7. PAST PERFECT

Past Sebelum Past Lain

Kapan dipakai: aksi yang sudah selesai sebelum aksi past lain

I had eaten before she arrived. (sudah makan dulu, baru dia datang)

The train had left when we got to the station. (kereta sudah pergi sebelum kami sampai)

Kapan dipakai: aksi yang sudah selesai pada titik tertentu di future

By next month, she will have lived here for 3 years.

Berlangsung sampai Future Tertentu

Kapan dipakai: duration sampai titik tertentu di future. Jarang dipakai sehari-hari.

By 2030, I will have been working here for 10 years.

COMMON MISTAKES

Pakai Past Simple alih-alih Present Perfect. ✗ "I went to Bali" saat tanya pengalaman. ✓ "I have been to Bali."
Pakai Present Continuous untuk fakta. ✗ "I am living in Jakarta." ✓ "I live in Jakarta." (kalau permanent)
Lupa "have/has". ✗ "She finished work." (kalau maksudnya present perfect). ✓ "She has finished work."
"For" vs "Since". For = duration ("for 5 years"). Since = starting point ("since 2020").
Will vs Going to. Will = spontaneous/prediksi. Going to = planned.
Pakai Future di adverb clause. ✗ "When I will arrive..." ✓ "When I arrive..." (Present Simple).
